Lib Tech Orca Snowboard Product Review

Lib Tech is renowned in the winter sports industry. It is a collective of creative board sports dreamers who know what a snowboard needs to take users to higher peaks.

It uses the most exotic, high performance, environmentally-friendly materials to craft its models, which are suitable for a range of levels.

However, the construction behind the Lib Tech Orca Snowboard is mostly ideal for intermediate and advanced levels.

This well-established snowboard has a weight of 6.61 pounds and a length of 159cm, which is an attractive size and weight to elevate your snowboarding performance.

It is also available in sizes 150 and 156cm, which caters to different body proportions and board preferences.

The snowboard is designed specifically for men, however, Lib Tech have many products available to explore that cater to the average women’s weight.

It features Magne-traction; in other words, the edges are strategically located to provide excellent edge hold and control in all conditions, including tough terrain.

This snowboard delivers excellent performance on resort and backcountry terrain.

It has an impressive hybrid rocker camber profile with a reverse camber underfoot and regular camber at the nose and the tail.

It is a directional middle of the road freeride flex, which means the snowboard has a softer nose that is tapered to a tough tail.

You can expect this snowboard to be stable in a range of conditions, including chop, ice, rutted out terrain, and everything else.

The unique shape enables you to pop with this board, although it is worth noting that it doesn’t have a ton of pop, and isn’t the best snowboard for jumping.

The Lib Tech Orca Snowboard is on the market at a premium price, so before you further, your interest, confirm your budget and understand your snowboarding ability.

Summary

Overall, the Lib Tech Orca Snowboard is on the stiffer side, and therefore, if you are looking for a more playful snowboard, there are many other products to consider.

It is an excellent choice for steeps and deep snow, so if you rarely encounter that snow, we would suggest an overall more versatile board.

You will find this snowboard, and most of Lib Tech products, on the higher end of the price spectrum, so confirm your budget before finalizing any purchases.
